Vol. 221 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Naturalisation Applicants.

83.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Justice the number of applicants for naturalisation papers during 1965; and whether there has been any increase in the number of German applicants.

A search of individual files would be needed to ascertain the number of applicants for naturalisation. The number of certificates of naturalisation granted in 1965 was 83, of which eight were granted to persons whose previous nationality was German. The persons of German nationality who were granted certificates of naturalisation in 1964 and 1963 number 12 and 13 respectively.
