Vol. 221 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pay of Curragh Camp Storekeeper.

20.

asked the Minister for Defence why there has been no ruling on the claim for an increase for the storekeeper in the technical stores, Plunkett Barracks, Curragh Camp, County Kildare, though it was submitted over a year ago and though the storekeeper in question is receiving 1/11d per week less than the subordinate whose duties are directed and supervised by such storekeeper.

The claim referred to in the question was based on an increase granted to temporary clerks between whose pay and the pay of the stores supervisors no relationship exists. The claim could not accordingly be entertained. The question of increasing the pay of stores supervisors is, however, at present under consideration and it is anticipated that a decision will be reached at an early date.
