The number of dwellings built under the Housing of the Working Classes Acts in 1965 was 2,285. Information is not available in my Department in regard to the number of houses built in 1965 with the aid of local authority house purchase loans. Approximately 1,960 such loans were, however, approved in the financial year 1964-65 in respect of new dwellings.
