Vol. 222 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment Allowances.

27.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will furnish details of the employment allowance in respect of employees in the form of a reply of 25th November, 1965; and the number of employees in each county and province in respect of whom employment allowances were granted in a recent year.

As the reply includes a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

The number of persons in respect of whom employment allowances were granted in the year ended 31st March, 1966, was 59,481 and the total amount of the allowance in respect of that year was £921,739.
