Vol. 222 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Garda Depot Swimming Pool.

25.

asked the Minister for Justice if the contractors have as yet repaired the swimming pool at Templemore Garda Depot, County Tipperary to enable it to hold water; and whether they have repaired the handball alleys to enable the water to drain off them.

I am informed by the consultant architect that leaks in the pool were located and were sealed off in a temporary manner for the purpose of tests which have now been satisfactorily completed. The repairs are now being executed in a permanent manner, and I expect that this work will be completed within a few weeks.

As regards the handball alleys, the floor of one of them has been repaired and the defect in the other, which is very slight, will be repaired shortly.

Would the Minister state whose liability?

The contractor's.
