Vol. 222 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fermoy Telephone Exchange.

26.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the long delays experienced with incoming calls at Fermoy telephone exchange, County Cork; and if so, if he will have the matter attended to.

Would the Minister be good enough to communicate to his colleague, the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, the fact that it is now impossible to get anybody to answer 10 if one seeks a trunk call in the city of Dublin?

Mr. O'Malley

This question relates to Fermoy, but I shall convey the views of the Deputy.

The situation has improved a lot in Dublin.

If the Minister says the answer to both parts is "yes," would the answer to the second part be "Yes, immediately"?

Mr. O'Malley

Yes, within six months.
