Vol. 223 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Condition of Youghal Houses.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of widespread complaints from tenants regarding the condition of new houses in Dominic Collins Place, Youghal, County Cork, built by Youghal Urban Council; and if he will have these houses examined by an inspector from his Department.

I am not so aware. I understand from the local authority that, while there have been some such complaints, any defects found were of a minor nature and have been remedied. It is not considered that an inspection by an officer of my Department is required.
