Vol. 223 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ireland-Britain Air Traffic.

4.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether any proposals or plans for the further development of airline traffic between Ireland and Britain were discussed during the recent visit of the Chief Executive of BEA; and if he will give details of such proposals or any other matters of significance which were discussed.

The Chief Executive Officer of British European Airways made a courtesy call on me on 30th June. The discussion was of a general nature covering the tourist expansion programme and the importance of air traffic in relation to Irish-British trade relations. No specific plans for airline development were discussed.
