Vol. 224 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Escaped Prisoner's Passport.

11.

Mr. Barrett

asked the Minister for External Affairs if reports that Karl Waldner who escaped from prison in Johannesburg on 5th September, 1966, was travelling on an Irish passport, although he was London born, are correct; and, if so, if he will state the circumstances under which the said person obtained an Irish passport.

The reports that the man in question was travelling on an Irish passport are without foundation.
