Generally speaking, the capital budget is proceeding on the lines set out in the Capital Budget Paper, Pr 8733, published last March. The borrowings which will fall to be made before the end of the financial year on the basis of this year's capital budget are indicated in Table 3 and in paragraphs 17 to 20 of the Paper. The Deputy will appreciate that the giving in advance of more precise information than is contained in the Paper as to the methods of borrowing could handicap negotiations with lenders.
