Vol. 224 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shannon Repair Service Company.

3.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power what is the position regarding the future of the Shannon Repair Service Company at Shannon which has been taken over by Aer Lingus; and whether the trainee aircraft technicians hitherto employed by SRS will now come directly under the Aer Lingus technician training scheme.

I am informed by Aer Lingus that it is their intention to maintain Shannon Repair Services as a separate company and that there is no immediate prospect, therefore, that the trainee aircraft technicians employed by SRS will come under the Aer Lingus scheme.
