(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the monthly rate of slaughterings for export during 1965 and 1966 up to the latest available date.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cattle Slaughtering for Export.
With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report a table showing the numbers of cattle, sheep and pigs slaughtered at registered export premises and bacon factories in 1965 and in 1966 up to the end of September and also slaughterings of horses at horsemeat export premises during the same periods. In the case of pigs the figures in the table are total slaughterings as figures of pig slaughterings for export are not available separately.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report a table giving details of support payments made to licensed meat exporters during each month from February, 1965, to October, 1966, inclusive, in respect of exports of carcase beef to Britain.
