Vol. 225 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Excessive Fishing of Salmon.

10.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, if it is proposed to make representations to the Danish Government against the excessive fishing of salmon by Danish fishermen off the coast of Greenland, as this Danish method of fishing may lead to the destruction of salmon in the Atlantic area.

The fishing referred to by the Deputy is being considered by interested Governments collectively and I do not propose to approach the Danish Government unilaterally in the matter.
