Vol. 226 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Housing Grant.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government why a person (name supplied) did not yet receive even part payment of the grant for a new dwelling house in which he has been living for almost 12 months.

The applicant in this case originally applied for the normal new house grant and subsequently for the higher rate of grant applicable to farmers. Unavoidable delay occurred in establishing his claim to the higher grant which has not yet been finalised because of the applicant's failure to submit a certificate of the total valuation of his holdings.
