Vol. 226 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cyto-Analytical Clinics.

108.

asked the Minister for Health what progress has been made in the introduction of cyto-analytical clinics in Irish hospitals; and in how many hospitals such clinics are available.

Services are at present being operated in the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin; Rotunda Hospital, Dublin; the Regional General Hospitals at Galway and Limerick; Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. The possibility of providing a cyto-analytical service on a national basis, in addition to or in substitution for the services at present operating, in the interests of securing the widest possible availability, is under examination in my Department.
