Vol. 226 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transport for Forestry Workers.

25.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware of the long distance forestry workers have to travel to their work in the Clydagh and Mullaganish mountains, County Cork; and if he will make arrangements so that they can avail of the transport which is travelling in that direction.

In this, as in other areas in which difficulties arise because available forest work is situated a considerable distance from the workers' homes, suitable time concessions are made to the workers.

The transport to which the Deputy refers is not Departmentally controlled and no State-owned vehicles are involved.
