Vol. 226 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kenmare Bay Fisheries.

16.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will indicate from the information available to date from the recent sworn inquiries the present position of the Kenmare Bay fisheries, County Kerry.

The public inquiry into the application for an oyster fishery order in respect of part of Kenmare Bay was held on 11th January, 1967, and adjourned to 15th February when the hearing of evidence was completed. I have not yet received the report of the officer who conducted the inquiry. A public inquiry in respect of a similar application by another party relating to a different area of Kenmare Bay will be held on 3rd March.
