Vol. 227 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions (Resumed). - Kerry Schools.

33.

asked the Minister for Education what is the present position regarding the erection of a new school at Listellick, Tralee, County Kerry.

Mr. O'Malley

I understand that working drawings and specifications for the erection of Listellick new school have now been completed by the Commissioners of Public Works and that they propose to invite tenders right away.

I am informed that the Commissioners of Public Works will invite tenders for the building of this new school in the course of the present week.

34.

asked the Minister for Education when a decision will be reached in connection with the erection of a new school at Camp, County Kerry on the new site purchased some years ago.

Mr. O'Malley

Having given the fullest consideration to the educational needs of the area, I am satisfied that the educational interests of the children of the Camp School district would best be served by the amalgamation of Camp national school with Aughacasla national school. My Department has communicated accordingly with the Reverend Managers of the schools.
