I expect that it will be possible to commence these works about September next. I made an offer of a State grant of £55,000 or 50 per cent of the cost, whichever is the lesser, to Wexford County Council on the understanding that the council would provide the balance of the cost and undertake full responsibility for the maintenance of the completed works, and I was pleased to receive yesterday the council's acceptance.
