asked the Minister for Local Government the number of persons deemed to be in need of re-housing in Tipperary South Riding; the number of sites acquired; and the number of houses at present under construction or proposed to be constructed at the present time.

I am informed by the County Council of Tipperary South Riding that there are 167 applicants on their approved list for local authority housing and that sites have been acquired for 138 houses, of which 23 are in progress, 41 are at tender stage and 51 at planning stage. Sites are also being acquired for a further 47 houses.
