Vol. 227 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Sligo Housing Applicant.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government why a person (particulars supplied) has not yet got a local authority house in County Sligo in view of the fact that he has a big family, his valuation is £5 6s and his present home is in a very bad condition.

No proposals or representations regarding the rehousing of this person have been made to my Department. I understand from the county council, however, that they have had an application from him for rehousing under consideration for some years, and are at present awaiting a report from their technical advisers on the structural condition of his present accommodation. I am asking the housing authority for a full report as a matter of urgency.
