Vol. 228 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Skerries Coast Erosion.

42.

asked the Minister for Finance if there are any proposals in his Department in relation to a scheme to prevent coast erosion in Skerries, County Dublin.

I refer the Deputy to the reply to his question on 24th May last which stated that consideration of a proposal under the Coast Protection Act, 1963, had been deferred because of the financial situation. Following a discussion, which I had later with a deputation from Dublin County Council, at which the Deputy was present, the county council have carried out works to remove the immediate danger. The formal proposal will be considered as soon as circumstances permit.

Question No. 43 postponed.
