While it is the intention to build, in due course, two houses for married gardaí at Salthill, I am satisfied that the building of new Garda stations, and the carrying out of improvements and repairs to existing stations, must in the allocation of available funds, be given precedence over the building of houses at Salthill and other centres.
I am not in a position to indicate when work on the houses at Salthill is likely to commence.
