In July of last year the purchase of a new X-ray set for Athlone District Hospital was approved. The set would have an output of 200 M.A. I have recently considered local representations to the effect that more powerful and more expensive equipment should be provided but, having considered the views of my medical advisers, I am not prepared to vary the decision.
