Vol. 228 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Intermediate Examination Candidate.

17.

asked the Minister for Education if he will make a statement on the circumstances under which a person (name supplied) was refused permission to sit for the intermediate examination; and if he will have steps taken so that she may sit for the examination.

An application to have the child in question admitted to the intermediate certificate examination is at present under consideration in consultation with the school authorities. There is no question of the child having been refused admission.

The Minister is prepared to give the matter favourable consideration?

Mr. O'Malley

Yes; I think it will be all right.

Good; we shall have no argument.
