Vol. 228 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork and Limerick Housing Tenders.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government how many, if any, of the tenders for the houses recently advertised by the National Building Agency for Cork and Limerick were submitted by Irish firms; and if he will indicate exactly what percentage of Irish capital is held by the Irish firms themselves.

Of the 12 replies received by the National Building Agency Ltd. to their advertisement inviting outline proposals for the Cork/Limerick housing project, six are from Irish concerns and two others are on behalf of Irish consortia that are being formed. Proposers were not asked to give details of the capital structure of their concerns or of ownership. Such matters will be the subject of consideration in due course in connection with any outline proposals which it is decided to pursue.
