asked the Minister for Health the number of homeless persons for which Dublin Health Authority is providing accommodation in Saint Kevin's and Saint Mary's Hospitals, in Brú Chaoimhin, in Brú Bríde, in Saint Clare's Home, in Island Street and in Griffith Barracks.

Information on the position in regard to home circumstances of persons maintained in the institutions named is not available but information in regard to all persons maintained in what is regarded as county home type of accommodation and the reasons stated for their maintenance is contained in a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

In addition the health authority provides accommodation for able-bodied persons in need of shelter and maintenance at Island Street and Griffith Barracks and on the night of 8th/9th May, 1967, there were 18 men in the Island Street premises and 11 women and 17 children in the accommodation at Griffith Barracks.
