Vol. 229 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mallow School Repairs.

34.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the very bad condition of Derinagree national school, Mallow, County Cork; and if he is prepared to take steps to have some repairs carried out immediately.

Mr. O'Malley

I am aware that works of improvement are required at Derinagree national school to render the premises suitable until the proposed new school is provided. A scheme of work is at present being drawn up by the Commissioners of Public Works and everything possible will be done to eliminate delay in having these works carried out.

Meanwhile, arrangements for the provision of the new school building are proceeding and the Commissioners of Public Works will very shortly have an inspection made of the site which has been offered.
