Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Tipperary Vested Houses.

76.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Local Government the number of houses vested in South Tipperary in 1965-66 and 1966-67.

77.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of the year ended 31st March, 1967 the amount expended by Tipperary South Riding County Council on their domestic housing estate for maintenance repairs; the total number of houses in the county council estate; and the number of vested cottages at 31st March, 1967.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 76 and 77 together.

I understand that, during the year ended 31st March, 1967, Tipperary South Riding County Council spent approximately £26,000 on the maintenance and repair of council cottages. Up to 31st March, 1967, the council had provided 3,417 dwellings.

The number of cottages vested by the council at 31st March, 1967, was 2,218. The numbers vested in the years ended 31st March, 1966 and 1967, were 67 and 74 respectively.
