Vol. 230 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Taxation and Invalids' Vehicles.

14.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider granting relief from motor taxation to persons confined to wheelchairs who are capable of driving their own motor cars, as these are necessary to carry them to and from their places of employment.

There is already in existence a motor taxation concession rate of 5/- a year for vehicles not exceeding six cwt in weight unladen, adapted and used for invalids, and it is not proposed to grant a further concession in this matter.
