Vol. 230 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Talks with British Postmaster-General.

7.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will make a statement on his recent talks in London with the British Postmaster-General.

The main object of my visit was to inform myself at first-hand of the arrangements that are being made for the future conduct of the affairs of the British Post Office by a State corporation and their relevance to conditions here. In this connection I would refer the Deputy to my remarks in the course of this year's debate on the Estimate for Posts and Telegraphs and to the reply to a Parliamentary Question on 15th February, 1967.
