Vol. 230 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Amenity Plans.

48.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction borrowing by the Dublin Corporation either from the Local Loans Fund or by means of a stock issue so as to enable the Corporation to get ahead with its long-postponed parks development, community halls and swimming pools programmes.

Dublin Corporation's capital requirements in relation to the financing of playgrounds and various amenity proposals are kept under constant review in my Department in conjunction with the overall capital requirements of the corporation and other local authorities. I have had no proposals from the corporation in regard to stock issues.
