Vol. 230 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Old Age Pension Reduction.

49.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why it has been decided to reduce the old age pension of a person (name supplied); and if he will make a comprehensive statement on the matter.

Reinvestigation in this case showed an increase of means since the previous investigation and it was necessary to revise the rate of pension to correspond with the higher means assessable. This is the standard practice in such cases.
