Vol. 230 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork School Classrooms.

9.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in providing two new classrooms for Blarney national school, County Cork.

The new Manager of Blarney national school has recently proposed the erection of a new school for girls at Blarney and the retention of the existing schools for boys.

I consider that this would be a more satisfactory solution of the school accommodation problem at Blarney than the provision of two extra classrooms as previously proposed.

When a suitable site for the new school is secured my Department will expedite the further arrangements as far as possible.
