asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that another fatal drowning took place recently in Spenser Dock, North Wall, Dublin; and whether the erection of a barrier to prohibit access to the Dock for children will now be considered.

I am so aware. I understand that, as a result of discussions between the Corporation and Córas Iompair Éireann, works are in progress which are designed to make access to the Spenser Dock area more difficult for children.
