Vol. 231 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Industrial Development.

56.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the need for further industry to offset unemployment in Wexford; and, if so, if he will declare Wexford a special area for development for that purpose.

The whole policy of future industrial expansion is at present under review in the light of a report on this country's existing range of industrial incentives, recently completed by a leading firm of consultants. The formulation of policy for industrial expansion in Wexford and other areas of the country must await the outcome of this review.
