Vol. 231 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Garda Station.

51.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Justice whether plans are before his Department for the building of a Garda station at Emly, County Tipperary; and what is the present position in the matter.

I have approved the building of a new Garda station at Emly, and a site has been acquired for this purpose. The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance has informed me that the project is delayed because of difficulties connected with a supply of water. This matter will be investigated further, but I cannot say at this stage how soon building work will commence.

Question No. 52 postponed.
