Vol. 231 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rates Remission.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will be prepared to extend the scope of the remission of rates beyond those for whom they are fully remitted by present legislation and so ease the overhead charges that farmers have to face by rising costs.

No change is at present contemplated in the legislation enacted last June which provides for substantial increases in the amount of relief from rates in respect of agricultural land.
