It is expected that automatic working will be introduced in Wexford town and district in late 1969.
Previous forecasts for introduction of automatic working were based on expected completion of the building extension for the exchange early in 1967. Site complications and contract difficulties have, however, retarded the building work by over a year with a corresponding delay in installation of the exchange equipment.
Is that the earliest it can be installed?
