Vol. 232 No. 1

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Sligo Telephone Applicant.

44.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that a young man (particulars supplied) who started a small industry in a rural area in County Sligo has been awaiting a telephone for a long time; and if he will see that this telephone is installed immediately as this young man is expanding his industry and has customers for his products in ten countries.

Provision of telephone service to the person in question was held up because of difficulty in obtaining wayleave consent for the erection of new pole route to the applicant's premises. This difficulty has now been resolved and it is hoped to offer service within the next two months.

The remaining questions will appear on tomorrow's Order Paper.
