Vol. 232 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Surplus Milk.

23.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is aware that the Dublin District Milk Board have indicated that they may not be in a position to handle surplus milk during the coming season; and what action he proposes to take on the matter.

Discussions have been taking place between the Dublin District Milk Board, my Department and others concerned with a view to arranging for the satisfactory disposal of milk produced in the Dublin area surplus to the liquid trade's requirements. I understand that a proposal by a co-operative creamery to handle the surplus will shortly be put to the Board and the others concerned.
