Vol. 232 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Temporary Dispensary Doctors.

34.

asked the Minister for Health if he can say at this juncture if it is intended to employ temporary dispensary doctors in the proposed reconstituted health service.

Mr. O'Malley

The question of which doctors will be automatically admitted to the reorganised general medical service is one of the points which is under discussion between the medical organisations and my Department. I hope to have a meeting with deputations from the organisations shortly to discuss the position emerging from the departmental discussions and I trust the Deputy will appreciate that I am, therefore, not in a position to make a statement on this subject at present.
