Vol. 232 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Milk Processing Factories.

6.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will give details of the milk processing factories which have expanded their capacity in recent months; and whether he is satisfied that the total capacity available will be adequate to meet the requirements during the 1968 season.

The capacity of the Dairy Disposal Company's cheese factory at Lansdowne has recently been increased by about 25 per cent and new factories for making cheese and milk powder will be going into production at Ballyragget, County Kilkenny, and Ballineen, County Cork, for the 1968 season. I have no reason to expect that the total capacity for handling milk during the season will be inadequate.
