Vol. 232 No. 13

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 7 and 8; Private Members' Business between 6 and 7.30 p.m. I should like to make the suggestion at this stage that the House might consider the desirability of taking the Second Reading debates on Nos. 7 and 8 together. Otherwise, it would seem to me there would be a lot of repetition as between the two debates and, perhaps, some irrelevancies.

So far as we are concerned, it is more convenient to take the two Bills together. It would avoid the difficulty of infringing the rules of order in connection with certain aspects and, while parts of both questions are separate, nevertheless, from the point of view of satisfactory discussion, it is easier to take them together.

We agree to the proposal.

Nos. 7 and 8—the House has agreed to discuss the two Bills together.

On Second Stage.

Second Stage, yes.
