Vol. 233 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford TV Reception.

2.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange for an official to investigate the general complaints of television licence holders in the Nire Valley area of Ballymacarbery, County Waterford, as the picture received is of very poor quality and reception very bad; and if any special arrangements can be made to improve reception for the residents of this area.

I understand that the area in question is one of a number of areas in the country where the quality of television reception is below the normal standard. The Authority has undertaken a survey of reception conditions in this and in other areas which should be completed within the next few months. It will then be in a position to decide on the further action to be taken to improve reception.
