Vol. 233 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Access to Poolbeg Lighthouse.

4.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if, in making a river order to allow the construction of a power station at the Pigeon House Fort, Dublin, he will ensure that public access to the Poolbeg lighthouse will not be denied to pedestrians or other road users.

The new power station at the Pigeon House will be constructed on lands in the possession of the Electricity Supply Board and the Dublin Port and Docks Board and the question of a statutory order being made by me will not arise.

I am assured by the bodies concerned, however, that public access to the Poolbeg lighthouse will continue to be available.
