Vol. 233 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Speed Limits.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will make arrangements to have the speed limit sign on the Tralee-Killarney road replaced in its former position, to include the county hospital within the speed limit area.

The position of the speed limit signs on the Killarney Road was fully considered when the revised speed limits regulations for County Kerry, which came into operation on the 1st November last, were being made. However, speed limits are subject to periodic review and I shall keep the Deputy's representations in mind when speed limits in County Kerry are next being reviewed.

29.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the proposed speed limit at Kilbehenny village, County Limerick.

Revised speed limits regulations for County Limerick were brought into operation on 1st May, 1966, as part of the current general review. The question of applying a speed limit to Kilbehenny will be considered when speed limits in the county are next being reviewed.
