asked the Minister for Finance if he will detail the harbours, piers, and slipways in south west Cork upon which improvement and repair work will take place; the amount allocated in each case for such works; and the total amounts provided by his Department for such work in the current year.

Work will be continued on the major fishery harbour development at Castletownbere which is estimated to cost £295,000 and for which £75,000 has been allocated in the current year. State grants of £2,137 10s. (75 per cent) and £525 (50 per cent) have been allocated for improvement works at Derreeny (Adrigole) and Seven Heads (Bandon) respectively. These works are in progress and will be completed in the current year. An allocation of £280 has been made for the completion of the work at Garnish (Dursey): £6,000 has been provided in the current year for an improvement scheme at Reen (Castletownshend) estimated to cost £16,000.
