asked the Minister for Education if the survey for post-primary education in County Westmeath has been completed; if so, how many more schools will be needed; and where they will be sited.

asked the Minister for Education if the survey for post-primary education in County Longford has been completed; if so, how many more schools will be needed; and where they will be sited.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 39 and 40 together.

Post-primary school requirements in Counties Longford and Westmeath are under continuous review in the light of new developments in post-primary education. No additional new schools are at present required in either county. The schools in the existing centres may need to be extended or replaced from time to time.
