asked the Minister for Justice the number of Garda officers at present assigned to the juvenile liaison service; the average number of cases each officer has to deal with; the number of vacancies that exist at present in the juvenile liaison section; how long these vacancies have existed; and when it is proposed to fill them.

Sixteen members of the Garda Síochána are assigned full-time to the juvenile liaison service and ten members are assigned part-time. The average number of cases each member has to deal with is 129 for whole-time officers and 27 for part-time officers at present. There are no vacancies in the service.
